Our Heritage

Dublin City Centre's Original Marco Pierre White Steakhouse

“Proper chair, a proper table I can put my elbows on…  I like it nice and simple.”
— Marco Pierre White

Marco Pierre White became the youngest chef in history to hold three Michelin stars. That standard never left the kitchen. At Dawson Street, the chefs who cook your meal trained under Marco in London — classical French technique, applied to Irish ingredients. Prime cuts aged on the bone. Wild Atlantic seafood. Seasonal produce that earns its place on the plate.

We opened in 2008 as Marco’s first Irish restaurant, and we’ve been the benchmark steakhouse in Dublin city centre ever since. Warm, opulent, grown-up. The kind of room on Dawson Street where a business lunch becomes a long afternoon and a birthday dinner becomes the one people still talk about.

The Menu

Classic Flavour, No Compromise

A deceptively simple menu where everything earns its place. Aged cuts. Classical French sauces. Seafood that speaks for itself. Nothing superfluous — and nothing on the plate that hasn’t been argued over first.

Our Speciality

Prime Irish Beef & Wild Atlantic Seafood

Prime Irish beef aged on the bone, cooked to specification. Wild Atlantic seafood landed fresh — roasted, grilled, or finished with the classical sauces that made Marco’s reputation. The best of what Ireland produces, treated with respect.

The Bar

Cocktails & Fine Wine

Signature cocktails and a wine list that runs from honest everyday bottles to Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru. The bar is worth arriving early for.

The Dining Room

A Room Worth Arriving Dressed For

Warm lighting, deep green banquettes, black-and-white photography on the walls, and a window seat looking straight out onto Dawson Street. There’s enough energy in it for a Saturday night and enough room in it for a Tuesday business lunch. Eighteen years in, it still fills.

Rated among the top steakhouses in Dublin city centre on TripAdvisor, Google and OpenTable — and named a TripAdvisor Best of the Best restaurant in 2025.

“Came for a work dinner and everyone was blown away. The room, the service, the food — everything felt considered. One of the best nights we’ve had in Dublin.”
